SSQ Del Carmen slate is a traditional riven slate with a distinctive texture, noted for its longtitudinal grain. The blue / black colouring is totally natural and will not fade in the strongest sunlight.

The SSQ Del Carmen ultra slate has been tested to international standards, including French standard P32/302. This French Standard is widely known as the highest classification worldwide and the testing is carried out at the quarry on a yearly basis by the Laboratoire National d'Essais.

SSQ Del Carmen Ultra is supplied with a written guarantee of 75 years. Test certificates, an independent geological report and samples of SSQ are available on request.

As a testament to the consistent high quality of SSQ Del Carmen slate, the slate has previously been accepted by English Heritage and Historic Scotland for the refurbishment of listed buildings.
